Animal Imports and Exports

Whether you need to import animals from non-vendor sources, export rodents to other institutions, or transport animals within Tufts, Tufts CMS ensures a seamless and compliant experience through established protocols. Animals from non-vendor sources require a quarantine process to maintain the health of our colonies. For exports, our team facilitates the Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) process, health reporting, and shipping coordination. Intra-institutional transport guidelines ensure secure and contamination-free movement within Tufts, while protocol and room transfers require prior approvals and health checks. Each process has been developed to support research integrity and animal welfare, and our team is here to assist at every step.
