Technical Services provides advanced facilities and expertise for diverse research needs, from single tasks to full study execution for various species.
We specialize in rodent surgeries, anesthetic support, drug administration, blood collection, xenograft implantation, and tissue collection. With expertise in pharmacokinetics, tumor studies, efficacy, immunogenicity, and toxicity, we deliver precise results and reliable support for your research objectives.
Surgical Services offers full support for preclinical medical device research, testing, and training. Our state-of-the-art surgical suites and skilled veterinary team handle routine and complex procedures with advanced anesthesia, continuous monitoring, and thorough postoperative care. We also specialize in custom surgical models, disease modeling, and medical device testing, while providing protocol consultations and hands-on training to ensure compliance and best practices.
Preclinical Imaging Core (PIC) provides cutting-edge imaging tools for in vivo and ex vivo studies in small animals. With modalities like optical imaging, ultrasound, microCT, EchoMRI, and ophthalmic tools, we capture detailed physiological and anatomical data. Available for self-service or technician-assisted use, PIC supports research at Tufts and offers contract services for Biotech and Pharma.
Our services include training, assisted/unassisted imaging, protocol consulting, and data analysis, with microCT also available for materials science and ex vivo studies.
